Social commitment
Doing good and giving something back to our fellow human beings is close to our hearts. For many years now, the Group has been committed to helping others and supporting regional and national organizations and projects. In addition to the organization “Care & Fair”, which is committed to the fight against illegal child labour in carpet production, we also support “SOS-Kinderdorf e.V.” and social institutions in the region. Our trainees are also committed to helping others and are regularly involved in good causes.
Partner of "SOS-Kinderdorf e.V." since 2011
So that the SOS children's wish list comes true...
Since 2011, the group of companies, in cooperation with the Furnishing partner ring, official partner of “SOS Children’s Village e.V.“. As part of various action programs, the Group is committed to the aid organization, which was founded 65 years ago by Hermann Gmeiner in Tyrol. The work of “SOS-Kinderdorf e.V.” focuses on abandoned or neglected girls and boys as well as disadvantaged families.
In order to ensure optimal everyday and living conditions, the services offered by SOS Children’s Villages are no longer limited to SOS Children’s Village families. Children and young people in emergency situations receive protection, advice and help in children’s and youth residential groups and youth clubs. This is where those affected find the short and medium-term support that has been lost due to difficult family circumstances. In Germany alone, more than 95,000 children, young people and families receive long-term or short-term care, advice or training.
We are a partner of SOS Children's Villages 💚
In cooperation with the furnishing partner ring VME and several suppliers, the SOS Children’s Village has received a generous donation of furniture. This donation, worth around EUR 25,000, will benefit a residential group home that provides a stable and loving home for six children aged between 2 and 5 who, for various reasons, can no longer live permanently with their families. A team of eight dedicated educators provides continuous care around the clock. 👩👧👦
Trainee project(s)
Our trainees are also actively committed to helping other people. Once again, our trainees are supporting an organization with a social background in a project they planned themselves. In the last project, two pieces of wooden play equipment were made together and handed over to the Hochrhein Family Center. Materials were deliberately used that were “left over”, so to speak, making it a completely sustainable and environmentally friendly project. After a few afternoons of work with hammers and saws, the self-built wooden flatbed wagon and a wooden truck were completed.
In another project, the trainees decided to support the “Förderverein Special Olympics Hochrhein e. V.“. In addition to financial support through the sale of cakes, waffles and fruit skewers, the athletes also helped with a charity sporting event. In total, a cheque for €600 was handed over to the association.
Fair trade carpets
Behind the name “Care & Fair” is an initiative of carpet importers that combats illegal child labor in carpet production.
For over 20 years, “Care & Fair – Teppichhandel gegen Kinderarbeit e.V.” has been committed to the fight against illegal child labor. In Nepal, Pakistan and India, carpet weavers and their families are supported for this purpose. This takes the form of school and adult education and healthcare. These projects are financed by levies and donations. Our furniture stores also support “Care & Fair” in their work. We are delighted to be part of this initiative.

Fundraising campaign for regional institutions
We are not only involved nationwide, but also directly on site. We are currently supporting several selected regional organizations and projects with our donations. A good example of this is the “Hochrhein Family Center”, which we are supporting once again.
The “Familienzentrum Hochrhein“, based in Lauchringen, is a non-profit organization. The center sees itself as an open meeting place for young and old. The aim is to connect families. A wide range of offers are created and lively learning and social contacts are promoted.
